The Brood
There are at least 3 bands that are named The Brood
1) The band started in 1984 when guitar player Jon Nelson and drummer Amery Smith quit Suicidal Tendencies to form a band with former Neighborhood Watch bass player John Flitcraft and guitar player Todd Moyer. Nelson took care of the vocal duties in The Brood with a little help from Moyer, who sang on a few songs.
The Brood got a record deal with Profile Records and released their one and only self-titled album, The Brood, on 1986. Soon after that, Nelson and Flitcraft quit while Smith and Moyer decided to form another band for which Moyer would be the lead vocalist and hired former Suicidal Tendencies bass player Louiche Mayorga. The band became Uncle Slam
2) The Brood are a 60's inspired, all female garage rock band.
